My Weekend

I planned to write this post last night when i got home but by the time i sat down at my computer i could barely keep my eyes open! This weekend just past i took a drive down the coast to my hometown to catch up with my best friend. We grew up in the same street, attended the same kindergarten & schools and have been best friends forever. We live in different states now so catching up is a rare thing these days. We stayed in the cutest, cosiest cottage (it also happened to be in the same street we grew up in). Id walked past this cottage hundreds of times before and have always loved it. When i saw it on an accommodation website i knew this was the place to stay.

You know those friends that are always there for you? Well Julie is just like that. She knows me better than anyone else. In good times and sad times we have always been there for each other. I was bridesmaid at her wedding. She reminded me she is still waiting to be bridesmaid at mine....

We shopped (little towns have the best boutiques) dined out, talked, drank wine, maybe a little too much wine! We have decided that we will catch up once a year, a new place each time. Next year we are going to head to Melbourne as its about half way for both of us.
